MEET THE ARTIST
Meeghan Sheckler
Meeghan was born and raised in Scarborough, Maine, where her love for the coast first took shape. In 2013, she relocated to the New Hampshire Seacoast, continuing to draw inspiration from the ocean’s effortless beauty—the soft palette of blues and neutrals, the rhythm of the waves, and the quiet luxury found in nature.
She now resides in Portsmouth, New Hampshire with her boyfriend, Tim, who shares her hometown roots, and their five-year-old mini Goldendoodle, Louis—an avid beach companion and, in his own way, a creative spirit.
With over a decade of experience in the insurance industry, Meeghan continues to work as a commercial producer while pursuing her passion for art through The Gilded Coast Studio. What began as a personal creative outlet—hand-painting coastal shells—quickly grew as friends, family, and clients began requesting commissioned pieces. Over time, each design became defined by a signature element: refined gold detailing that brings a sense of understated elegance to natural coastal forms.
Today, her work reflects a balance of structure and creativity, transforming organic elements into timeless, elevated pieces inspired by life along the coast.
